although here is an interesting thing I found . It says my trial ended but does not show me the license that I own on Azure. I am not sure if its something todo with Active directory? The help files dont say I need to set that up... so I suspect this is the problem. For some reason visualstudio.com knows my trial ended.. but it does no know I have a license. I suppose this is why my visual studio software is complaining too.
It seems that you link your Visual Studio Online account to a Microsoft Azure subscription, this has nothing to do with Visual Studio Professional 2013. At least, from the screenshot you provided above, you haveVisual Studio Online Professional license, not for Visual Studio Profession.
By the way, have you try to connect VSO in that VS Professional IDE? encountered one post said that you should be able to get your issue resolved by connecting the trial version of VS 2013 Professional to your VSO. Good luck with ASAP. I made sure two weeks before going to a client that the license was paid for. I show up at the client thinking I will login to my new machine and start developing. Downloaded license not sufficient. Opened critical ticket and got downgraded because it was "not business critical" - So almost 12 days later after paying and having reopen my ticked about 5 times now because they said I need to pay 250USD for technical support. Well, since Microsoft and My self have not completed the purchase agreement (you know, I paid them but I never got anything in return) they cant tell me to pay for technical support since whatever I bought isn't eligible for technical support since the purchase agreement has not been completed, ie I don't have any product yet to be supported.
In the azure portal under the Visual Studio Online section, go to Configure tab. If you are connected to a directory, change it to None. You will be logged out automatically. But now you should be able to get a fresh license for your Visual Studio.
